GLSC services large soccer associations and clubs providing an outstanding youth summer day camp program for beginning,  intermediate and advanced level players.

The large majority of our camps focus on youth recreational players at the beginning level of performance.   The focus with beginning level groups is to introduce the basic technical and tactical elements of the game in a level-specific environment with sessions tailored to the ability of the group and each individual within the group.   Participants are guided through a logical teaching progression with the emphasis on learning through enjoyment.

Our youth camps are second to none;  from supervision by experienced coaches who know how to make learning fun to a curriculum that teaches novice players the fundamentals of the game.  Our staff make a commitment to improving each participants self-confidence as well as their soccer talents.  Youth camps typically run from Monday through Friday,  9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The chart below details Goal-Line's beginning level curriculum.  While we generally follow this schedule our staff are experienced enough to add new practice themes or alter the learning intensity to challenge young players to the optimum level. Each practice theme is developed from the basic learning phase through to small-sided games to provide a realistic environment for the execution of techniques and tactics learned.  In the small-sided and world cup games the offensive and defensive tactical aspects are reinforced.

The focus with intermediate level groups is to introduce second tier techniques and the major offensive and defensive tactical aspects of the game.  The intermediate group is challenged to a greater extent than the beginning level groups although the emphasis is still on learning through enjoyment.

Each practice theme is again developed from the basic grid practice through to small-sided games.  In the small-sided games the offensive and defensive tactical aspects are reinforced.

GLSC's advanced level camps focus on tactical development and execution in the 11 vs. 11 game.  GLSC's coaches work to a curriculum that is demanding and challenging for the advanced level player.  Such players want to enjoy their sessions but are usually strongly committed to learning and improving.

The practices outlined below are designed to teach players the most important aspects of the game as it is played at the higher levels.  To this end,  players are taught the important elements of attacking and defending in the various thirds of the field.

How many times has your team dominated their opponents but lost because they failed to take their scoring chances.  GLSC's Finishing & Goal-Keeper Camps feature 20 hours of intense instruction on all the critical aspects of finishing and goal-keeping.  Our goal is to improve each participants ability as an individual to create and successfully finish goal-scoring opportunities.

Each participant receives substantial personal attention as our staff teach the advanced technical and tactical aspects of scoring goals.  This clinic is not merely for strikers or attacking midfield players but for all players regardless of their regular position on the field.   If you want your players to learn how the best "finishers" in the world do it,  then this program is for you!

GLSC offers a number of programs designed specifically for High School groups.   We will provide the High School coach a list of Themes & Topics that can be used to focus on particular practices for the group.

Please Contact GLSC for our High School Training Programs brochure which will give you all the information you need to schedule an High School camp.

GLSC offers a number of year-round team clinic programs designed to suit your teams' needs and budget.  Programs range from a single 1.5 hour session to week long,  5 hour per day sessions.  All our sessions are staffed by professional coaches and take place at your site,  at your convenience.

Our Team & Club Programs are devised to provide your team with the opportunity to improve as a group,   while receiving intensive coaching.  Although emphasis will be placed on the tactics of playing soccer as a group the team coach may ask for any technical or tactical topics of their choice.

Otherwise our staff will gladly recommend a practice strategy for your team depending on their developmental level and capacity to learn.  Such topics might include, team organization,  positional responsibilities,  principles of attacking and defensive play,  and team communication.

Each session is pre-planned in combination with later sessions so that the correct teaching progression is followed.   This allows for and ensures that learning will be maximized.

Registering your team or club for training as a group can provide several advantages over players attending camps individually:

q

Greater training focus on team organization, positional responsibilities etc.

q

Our Coaching Themes and Topics list allows the coach and Goal-Line staff to design a program to meet your teams' specific needs

q

We encourage a teams' regular coach to attend as many sessions as possible so that learning can be reinforced after our clinic has concluded.

q

Each team is assigned a coach who has the qualifications and experience working in a team environment.

Please Contact GLSC for our Team and Club Training Programs brochure which will give you all the information you need to schedule an individual camp  for your team or club.
